ALIMAGU is a non-governmental organization (a non-profit, charity), established in the Maldives under tHe Ministry of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment. It is a team of dedicated volunteers passionate about creating a more peaceful and harmonious society.
Our vision is to build a religious and socially resilient society by Spreading Islamic knowledge to promote understanding, tolerance, respect and foster personal growth and responsibility in individuals through awakening life skills.
Social harmony is best achieved by alleviating suffering at the individual level. By guiding individuals to become better versions of themselves, we aim to make meaningful contributions to build stronger and more peaceful societies.
We present a comprehensive approach to the challenge, addressing the root cause of the problems. We intend to go beyond, partnering with local government authorities, forward-thinking corporates, other NGOs, and people living in various islands to bring lasting changes.
Islam is a way of life, with every detail prescribed in the Qur’an and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammadh ﷺ. Hence Qur’an is the essence of Islamic education. The Qur’an provides guidance on every aspect of life, from spirituality to moral values. The Qur’an teaches essential values and principles that can help shape a child’s character and moral compass. Introducing children to the Qur’anic knowledge at an early age, could greatly help them develop stronger connection with the faith and establish a firm foundation for their religious beliefs. When children learn and understand the Qur’anic teachings, they are more likely to exhibit kindness, compassion, honesty, and other positive traits. This moral development can help them become responsible and respectful members of the society.
